Job Details
About the Company: A laser equipment research institute seeking expertise in the technical and application areas described in this position. The role offers a focused setting for translating specialist knowledge into research, engineering or organizational outcomes.
Target Candidates: Master’s or PhD in Optical Engineering, Laser Technology, Materials Processing, Mechanical Engineering or Precision Instrumentation.
Responsibilities
• Study laser–material interactions and define process windows for cutting, welding, cladding, hardening, drilling, micro/nano processing and cleaning.
• Analyze microstructure, stress, deformation, cracks, pores and spatter in metals, composites, ceramics, glass and semiconductor wafers.
• Design optical paths, focusing/collimation, rotary scanning and motorized zoom for laser equipment.
• Use Zemax or Code V for optical simulation, aberration and tolerance analysis; establish process databases and standard parameters.
• The position covers equipment or instrument development from specification and component selection through assembly, test and refinement. Results should be measured against the functional, precision and reliability needs of the intended application.
Requirements
• Master’s or PhD in Optical Engineering, Laser Technology, Materials Processing, Mechanical Engineering or Precision Instrumentation.
• Knowledge of fiber, ultrafast, semiconductor or CO₂ laser processing, ideally with cutting equipment or precision micromachining.
• Metallography, defect control, DOE, parameter optimization, optical design and customer process-validation experience preferred.
Highlights & Support: Integrated platform spanning laser-process mechanisms, equipment development and customer application validation.
