About the Company: A fuel-cell compressor developer seeking expertise in the technical and application areas described in this position. The role offers a focused setting for translating specialist knowledge into research, engineering or organizational outcomes.

Target Candidates: Master’s or PhD in Power Engineering, Fluid Machinery, Control, Vehicle Engineering, Hydrogen/Fuel Cells or Mechatronics.

Responsibilities

•  Model coupled flow, pressure, temperature, efficiency and reliability in 60–150 kW fuel-cell air-compressor systems.

•  Develop intelligent coordinated controls combining model predictive control and reinforcement learning for strongly coupled flow/pressure dynamics.

•  Port algorithms to embedded hardware, validate on equipment and calibrate systems for response and stability.

•  Work with structural, motor, controls and customer teams on compressor iteration and hydrogen-system integration.

•  The position connects technology development with performance validation, production feasibility and application needs. Work should consider the relevant efficiency, safety, stability and lifecycle requirements described for the product or process.

Requirements

•  Master’s or PhD in Power Engineering, Fluid Machinery, Control, Vehicle Engineering, Hydrogen/Fuel Cells or Mechatronics.

•  Knowledge of fuel-cell air supply, centrifugal/high-speed compressors, multiphysics simulation, fluid or embedded controls.

•  MPC, reinforcement learning, system identification, algorithm porting and real-system validation preferred.
