About the Company: A university research institute seeking expertise in the technical and application areas described in this position. The role offers a focused setting for translating specialist knowledge into research, engineering or organizational outcomes.

Target Candidates: PhD with at least three years of relevant experience and 36 consecutive months in a formal overseas teaching or R&D appointment.

Responsibilities

•  Conduct innovative research, teaching and team development in the relevant discipline.

•  Develop grants, research platforms, academic exchange and technology transfer.

•  Mentor young researchers and build a promising new research direction.

•  Develop a coherent research agenda, define tractable milestones and contribute to publications, intellectual property and appropriate research proposals. Share methods and results with collaborators while supporting the research platform and the development of junior researchers.

Requirements

•  PhD with at least three years of relevant experience and 36 consecutive months in a formal overseas teaching or R&D appointment.

•  Not yet working full-time in China, or returned within the past year; age 40 or below.

•  Peer-recognized achievements and potential to become a field leader.

•  The appointment calls for independent scientific judgment, the ability to organize research work and a sustained record or clear potential for scholarly output. Experience mentoring students or coordinating collaborative projects is valuable where consistent with the seniority of the post.
