Target Candidates: PhD with at least 10 years of relevant experience and internationally recognized achievements.

Responsibilities

•  Lead high-level teaching, research, discipline development and team building.

•  Plan major programs, set academic directions and build research platforms.

•  Guide original research, international partnerships, industry collaboration and advanced talent development.

•  Develop a coherent research agenda, define tractable milestones and contribute to publications, intellectual property and appropriate research proposals. Share methods and results with collaborators while supporting the research platform and the development of junior researchers.

•  Translate the stated responsibilities into clear work plans, review interim results against project objectives, and communicate progress, technical risks and next steps to the relevant team. Carry lessons from testing or implementation into the following development cycle.

Requirements

•  PhD with at least 10 years of relevant experience and internationally recognized achievements.

•  Normally age 55 or below, with flexibility for exceptional candidates.

•  Senior academic or corporate R&D leadership comparable to associate professor or above, with major-project and team-building capability.

•  The appointment calls for independent scientific judgment, the ability to organize research work and a sustained record or clear potential for scholarly output. Experience mentoring students or coordinating collaborative projects is valuable where consistent with the seniority of the post.
